Ok I have a challenge for you this week!
It’s a great decluttering idea that I 100% stole from Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project and the host of an amazing new podcast called Happier with Gretchen Rubin (check it out HERE!)
It’s called The One-Minute Rule.
Here’s how it works: If a task takes a minute or less to accomplish you have to do it IMMEDIATELY. Do not pass go. Do not collect $100.
This would be things like hanging up your coat, making your bed, washing a dish, going through the days mail, emails that require a short response… you get the idea. Anything that would take a minute or less in not to be delayed.
If put off, a bunch on 1 minute tasks can add up to a whole lot of clutter and stress. This buildup can be completely avoided by practicing The One-Minute Rule.
Give it a shot. I’m going to take the challenge with you. I would love to know what changes you see!
